No iPhone 6 Support

Almost two years after iPhone 6 release, and still no iPhone 6 screen size support.

Capturing NOT free

Not..

Very good

Excellent card reader with easy to use UI. Dont know why some of the others are more popular.

Limit of 5 (five!) cards for free

More than five will cost you an unspecified in-app fee. All I want is to import a bunch of cards into contacts. Im willing to is a few, specified in advance, dollars to that. Is that so difficult?

Couldnt test much, the app doesnt even manage to bring up LinkedIn Login screen

crashing...

randomly crashing after clicking screen to take photo even after paying $6.99 to upgrade

Unreliable copying / reading

Way too many errors from scanning business card . Had to correct so much , I may as well have entered it all from scratch myself .

Performs above expectations

Ive tried others and wasnt satisfied. Just bought this and scanned in over 50 business cards and had troubles with only 3. Those three were on dark coloured cars, two red and one black. Really like the "Card Holder" feature where you can see the scanned photo of the card. Very useful app. Thank you.

Womens purse?

So, in 2015, IOS9 We get a BUSINESS oriented iOS app that is a woman’s pink purse? Aside from very weird and impractical organization seriously, who designed this app? Cinderella? Pass, No thanks.

One of the best

I knew I would purchase unlimited number of recognitions immediately after it scanned its first business card. I am speechless - this app is magic.

Iffy OCR & Limited SalesForce Support

Tried the app and have now deleted it. The OCR is iffy at best and required substantial re typing, especially in the address area. The state was never in the right location, among other OCR issues. The app also seems to have trouble with vertically oriented business cards. Finally, dont waste your time unless you have Enterprise Edition, Unlimited Edition or Developer Edition of SalesForce. The developer wont tell you this, but those editions are required for this to export cards to SalesForce. I dont understand why they arent more clear about this, but now you know.

What an awesome app

A real timesaver and very accurate. Couldnt live without it.

BCR saleforce? Not working anymore

Now its forcing me to sign up with saleforce! What a disappointment. Its crashing all the time now. Dont download it! Waste of 6.99.

Doesnt work

This app worked great for months and all the sudden this last week it doesnt work at all. Im guessing its an update but I paid for the unlimited version and now every time I try and take a picture of a card, it asks me to sign up for sales force. I signed into Evernote instead and it still doesnt work. It doesnt work anymore.

New features that I really hate

This used to be one of my favorite apps, and I considered the $6.99 price reasonable. I recommended it to all of my colleagues. But no more. The more recent update now suddenly links me to Salesforce. com, which is not acceptable to me. If you want to do this and think that it is a great feature for some, then go ahead and make a new app that does this. But leave BCR in its previous form.

Usability issues

SHAPE Business Card Reader, has pretty good text recognition, which is not surprising since it uses the ABBYY OCR engine. However, it’s takes too many taps to navigate—for example, foveate share a card. It also (arguably) suffers from skeumorphism. I’d like to see the interface tightened up for better usability, as well as a cropping feature for the card images. In its favor, the app does support integration with LinkedIn, from which you can import and merge selected data with your contacts.

Love it!

Character recognition is very good! API was simple to use as well. Use it almost every day

Best recognition quality

BCR is one of my all time favorite apps, because it simply does what it says. I frequently download apps, and then delete them immediately, often because they’re overloaded with useless functionality. BCR works great on my iPhone, and I love the cloud option they added, since it is particularly useful for my colleagues. I would also recommend the Salesforce export, if you use Salesforce in your business.

Thumbs up

Worth buying the full version.
